Careers

We build the future of legal intelligence.

We are always looking for people who think carefully and build precisely. The problems here are hard in the right ways: legal language is subtle, commercial risk is real, and the organizations depending on this platform are making consequential decisions with whatever we give them. We take that seriously.

Serious about the work. Not about ourselves.

Zeal is a small company working on a problem that is larger than it first appears. The intersection of law, language, and AI is not well-mapped territory. Building here means you will spend real time with hard questions, collaborate directly with the people designing the architecture and the people talking to customers, and see your work matter quickly.

We do not have a lot of ceremony. We have high standards for the work and low tolerance for theater around it. People who thrive here tend to care deeply about what they are building, ask the uncomfortable question before the project ships instead of after, and prefer a direct conversation to an elaborate process.

The domain matters. Contract intelligence is not a toy problem. The language in a commercial agreement carries real financial and legal weight, and the organizations using this platform are trusting it with consequential decisions. Building something that earns that trust requires careful thinking at every layer of the stack.

What the work looks like

Problems that require you to understand both the technical system and the legal context it operates in

Direct feedback loops between what you build and how it lands in customer environments

A team small enough that your judgment shapes the product

Decisions that are revisable, but debated seriously before they are made

Work that is released when it is ready, not when the sprint ends

What we look for.

Intellectual rigor

We are building on a domain where sloppy thinking produces wrong answers with confident delivery, and wrong answers carry real consequences. We look for people who push past the first explanation, question their own assumptions, and hold their conclusions to a high standard. This is not about being cautious. It is about being right.

Practical execution

Ideas earn their place here by turning into working software. We value the ability to take an ambiguous problem, define what done looks like, and ship something that can be tested against reality. The people who are most effective at Zeal can move from abstract principle to working implementation without needing the path fully specified in advance.

Collaborative instinct

The problems at Zeal do not fit cleanly into engineering or product or legal operations. They sit at the intersection. The people who do the best work here bring their domain knowledge into contact with other people's knowledge and end up with something neither would have built alone. Collaboration here is not a soft skill. It is how the hard problems get solved.

Current openings.

We maintain current openings separately. If you are interested in working at Zeal and do not see a role that matches your background, we still want to hear from you. The right person makes the role, not the other way around.

Open roles

Current openings are maintained at a separate page. Check back or reach out directly if you have not seen a recent update.
